does this picture make me look humble?

I’ve strived for an eclectic life ever since I learned what the word ‘eclectic’ means. Which was probably after you learned it, but I’m decent at catching up. From the not-so-subtle days of being surrounded by drums and the (mostly) pre-gentlemen who played them alongside me, running distance races in my favorite cities, recently picking up a bit of archery, to reclaiming my not-so-fun 20s through watching Gilmore Girls - writing connects the dots.

I’m grateful for my life these days with the tall, kind husband of dreams, an incredible son, a roof over our heads, travels to remember and look forward to, and a long career of teaching young children about music and somehow getting paid to do it. I’m a cancer survivor, a Pure Barre enthusiast, slowly waning from night-owl habits, and with an uncanny talent for identifying film score composers aurally within a phrase or two. I adore NYC in all of the cheesy, idealist ways and visit often.

I’d be delighted to share a moment that might resonate with you.
